Grit Blasting

Our surface preparation techniques include grit blasting. 

This is a fast and effective way of cleaning or preparing surfaces for coating.

We have various blast mediums available to suit ferrous and non-ferrous metals.

 

 

Thermal Metal Spraying with Zinc or Aluminium.

We can flame or arc spray, using most often zinc or aluminium, but we can provide other metal coatings by request.

This is an anti- corrosion application.

Zinc metal spray can provide a long life coating lasting up to at least 25 years and will protect up to temperatures of 200°C.

Aluminium metal spraying is superior to zinc as it can withstand temperatures up to 400°C and is ideal for metal which is exposed to underwater or salt-water environments.

We have purchased a new twin wire arc spray system to add further metal spraying capabilities as an option to our vast range of blasting facilities, industrial paint and powder coating finishes.

We can now metal spray the 28E Arctec Durable Non-slip coating which provides non-slip and corrosion resistance that is superior to hot dip galvanised or painted finishes.

Epoxy Coatings.

Epoxy coatings are used to provide good corrosion resistance, flexibility and a tough durable coating which is suitable for valves, pipes and electrical products such as fluorescent light housings.

This coating has a good adhesion to aluminium and ideally suited for aggressive environments.
